Steve Daskewisz, also known as Steve Dash, was an American actor known for his role as a stunt double supporting the fictional serial killer Jason Voorhees in the film Friday the 13th Part 2. Born March 14, 1944, he started his career as a former cop who worked as a stuntman and actor beginning in 1977, he had small roles in Wolfen and The Jazz Singer. That led to work on Sylvester Stallone's Nighthawks where he met Cliff Cudney. Cudney hired him to replace Warrington Gillette who was originally scheduled to play Jason in Friday the 13th Part 2.

The famous and most beloved horror icon had sadly, passed away December 18th, 2018 the word was broke to fans by both his family (who asked people not tag his account to avoid the grandchildren from ever finding out due to the fact they wanted to tell them the sad news themselves) and then later told by Friday the 13th Franchise Network that it was due to complications with his diabetes which his leg was supposed to be amputated to avoid any and all future/current problems but the legendary icon lost the battle.....if you want to help honor this man and his legacy please donate to this post Flowers and Donations (No GoFundMe) made by one of his daughters.

Rest in peace to the real Jason.....Steve Dash.....

Update:  I was informed of multiple errors within this article from the link to the wrong film which was supposed to be "Vengeance" a film start that stars two Friday the 13th Jason actors Steve Dash (Part 2 Jason) and C.J. Grahams (Part 6 Jason) and so to inform we aren't receiving ANY MONEY! We simply wanted to show our appreciation and love for Steve Dash.
